I was trying to recreate what I saw (or rather, didn't see) when driving home one night in an extremely thick fog. All I could make out were the bulbs of the lamp posts. I'm not the best at painting from memory, so it was quite a struggle, and I actually wiped out the first version a couple years later to re-do the attempt. It was a little more succesful, but this is still a painting I'm not super sure about. I kind of like the uneasiness it makes me feel - it gives me a feeling that something about it is right if I don't feel quite right about it (if you know what I mean).
